Profile

Tracey’s practice includes all aspects of trademark and patent prosecution. She has managed domestic and international trademark portfolios for business ranging from small, local startups to large, multinational corporations. She has also handled trademark litigation matters, opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Resolution Policy. Her trademark experience includes clearance searches, search report analysis and preparation of trademark opinion letters discussing use and registration of potential marks. Her patent prosecution experience includes patent drafting and prosecution in a variety of technology areas, including chemical formulations, processes, and syntheses; semiconductor processing and fabrication; biotechnology; and material science.

While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Tracey worked in a laboratory at the University of Utah where her research focused on mapping genes responsible for synaptic transmission in C. elegans. She also worked as a research technologist developing new methods of RNA extraction useful in determining viral load in HIV and hepatitis patients.
